GeoNode is an Open Geospatial Data Sharing Platform that is widely used by Government agencies and other organizations to publish their geospatial data in an interoperable and standards compliant way. If your project calls for using and extending GeoNode, you should follow the track below to become familiar with how to use GeoNode itself, how to deploy, manage and maintain it and eventually to extend, customize and modify it for your own purposes. The modules cover the software modules that form the building blocks of GeoNode as well as the different areas that can be customized. As GeoNode is built with the Django Framework, this track covers Django development and also includes sections on how to deploy your customized GeoNode based application on the cloud or other infrastructure. Consult with your mentor to select the set of modules most applicable for your application and used case.
